If there are conductors attached to the back of the positive side and negative side, it will create an electrical circuit. When electrons run through a circuit, they create electricity.

This electric field forces the electrons to move in one direction - towards some metal plates. That is called an energy current. The strength of the current controls how much electricity each cell can produce. Once the loose electrons hit metal plates, they turn into electricity. Then the current is directed into wires, and the electrons flow like they would in any other electric source.
